A new Express Entry Draw 124 held Aug 20 and 3,600 Express Entry candidates will receive invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence and immigrate to Canada.

IRCC increased the CRS score compared to previous draw

Regarding to previous draw, which held on Aug 20, 2019, the minimum score for the course is smoothly decreased to 457, which represents 9 points lower than Express Entry Draw 123, which is the most significant change this year.

2019 Total ITAs issued

Draw 124 brings the total number of ITAs issued so far of this year to 55,700 in skilled workers and 500 in skilled trades.

Tie-breaking rule

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break on Mar 24, 2019, at 15:32:42 UTC for Express Entrey Draw 124. This means that all candidates with a CRS score above 457, as well as those with scores of 457 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.

How to increase your score in Express Entry pool?

Applicants who want to immigrate to Canada  can increase their current scores in pool by Study in Canada, Job offer and Canadian Experience Work or by receiving nomination from one of the Provincial Nomination Program.

Applicants must pay attention to the period between draws, If the period between them is extended, the express entry allows more applicants opened their profile with higher score in Express Entry System and this can have the effect of raising the minimum or cut-off score.

The diagram shows CRS score distribution for draw 119, which is set up approximately 6 days before the announcement of the prior period on Jun 6, 2019. This distribution of the score can be changed in subsequent periods due to the expiration of the date of the presence of some applicants in the Express Entry system as well as the registration and entry of new applicants.
