To qualify for a Quebec Selection Certificate under Quebec under this program, the applicant must:
- have net assets of at least C$ 100,000 that have been legally obtained; and
- have at least two years of experience as a self-employed worker in the profession or trade he/she plans to practice in Quebec.
To qualify for a Quebec Selection Certificate, self-employted applicants must score enough points under the Quebec Immigration selection system below. A single applicant must score at least 38 points based on the criteria below. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 45 points. Additional points can be awarded for financial resources and adaptability. With these points awarded, a single applicant must score a minimum of 44 points. An applicant with a spouse or common-law/conjugal partner must score at least 51 points.
