Federal Immigrant Investor Venture Capital

This program is intended to give permanent residence status to a limited number of experienced high-net-worth investors and their families in exchange to a C$ 2 million investment.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the requirements listed below to be eligible to apply under the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital Pilot Program:

  • Have a personal net worth of C$ 10 million or more.
  • Make an at-risk investment of C$ 2 million in the Immigrant Investor Venture Capital (IIVC) Fund for approximately 15 years.
  • Meet the minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
  • Have a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate of at least one year.

The Process

  • Step 1:

    Submission of application to Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia..

  • Step 2:

    Obtaining a due diligence report from a designated service provider at the applicant’s expence.

  • Step 3:

    Transfering the file to the Visa Office resposible for the applicant’s country of nationality or residence.

  • Step 4:

    Medical and security examinations and issuance of permanent resident visas.

Fees

Federal Processing Fee: C$ 1,050 for main applicant, C$ 550 for spouse, C$ 150 for each child.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: C$ 490 for main applicant, C$ 490 for spouse
