Quebec Experience

The Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) is an accelerated selection program for skilled workers designed for temporary workers who hold a skilled job in Quebec and foreign students who graduated in Quebec or are studying towards graduation.

Eligibility Criteria

PEQ Quebec graduate

This program is aimed at you if you have obtained an eligible Quebec diploma, or you are in the process of doing so, and you have an advanced intermediate knowledge of oral French.

PEQ Skilled temporary foreign worker

This program applies to you if you currently hold a skilled job, if you have held a skilled job in Quebec for at least 12 of the last 24 months, and if you have an advanced intermediate knowledge of oral French. The job experience acquired under a youth exchange program can be taken into account.

The Process

  • Step 1:

    Submission of the Application for Quebec Selection Certificate to MIDI.

  • Step 2:

    Issuance of CSQ for the applicant and each dependent following a thorough assessment by MIDI.

  • Step 3:

    Making a separate application to the Government of Canada for permanent resident visas.

  • Step 4:

    Medical and security examinations and issuance of permanent resident visas.

Fees

Quebec Application Fee: C$ 773 for main applicant, C$ 166 for each dependent.

Federal Processing Fee: C$ 550 for main applicant, C$ 550 for spouse, C$ 150 for each child

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: C$ 490 for main applicant, C$ 490 for spouse
