Quebec suspends Immigrant Investor Program
Quebec Immigrant Investor Program has been suspended since Friday, November 1st. Until July 1, 2020, the Quebec will not accept any new applications.
Quebec's Minister of Immigration, Mr Simon Jolin-Barrette, cited the decision as saying that there are currently about 20,000 immigration applications in the QIIP that have not yet received their permanent resident visa. He also said that the government would use the opportunity to investigate and apply any changes.
At the same time, the Quebec government allocated a quota to two other Quebec trade programs, Entrepreneur and self-employed Worker programs. By September 30, 2020, Quebec will receive 60 Entrepreneur Programs and 50 Self-Employed Worker Programs.
