Foreign nationals can apply for temporary and permanent resident status within Canada

Candiates who want to apply for one of the temporary or permannet visa can now give their fingerprints and photo within Canada.

Canada starts biometrics collection within Canada on December 3, 2019. So all immigrants can do biometrics process within Canada for all immigration application need fingerprints collection and photo inclduing temporary or permanent residence, or to extend or renew their visitor visa or work or study permit, The 58 designated Service Canada locations across the country are providing this service to all foreign nationals. In terms of cost, this is a good news for people to save time and money by being able to give their biometrics within Canada.

Online Booking is needed for thsi purpose , So all individuals mus go to canada.ca/biometrics  and made an appointment in advance.

Also applicants can give theeir biometics through visa application centre (VAC) in any country that they are legally allowed to enter. Canada collect fingerprints from 160 locations in 108 coutries for example there are two VAC center in Turkey in Istanbul and Ankara cities.

Who are exempted to the biometrics requirement?

The individuals with following status are expempted to the biometrics requirement:

  • Candidates under 14 or over 79 years of age
  • U.S. nationals coming to visit, work or study temporarily in Canada
  • lawful permanent residents of the U.S. coming to visit Canada
