Immigrate to Canada through Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream
Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream is for experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live in Nova Scotia. They must start a new business or buy an existing business and must actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business. Approved applicants must operate a business in Nova Scotia on a Work Permit (WP) for at least one continuous year before being nominated for permanent resident status in Canada.
Application to the stream is by invitation only. You should first complete the online Expression of Interest (EOI). Selected applicants will be invited to apply for the program based on the information they enter online. You cannot apply directly to this program unless you are invited to apply.
Minimum Requirement
To apply through this program,candidates must be aware of the following minimum requirements:
1- Minimum age
You must be 21 years of age or older
2- Minimum Net Worth
You must have net worth of at least $600,000 CAD
3- Minimum Language Ability
You must have taken an approved test results and have obtained a minimum score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in all for abilities in English or French
4- Minimum Education
You must have one of the following from a high school or a post-secondary institution:
• Canadian educational credential (certificate, diploma, or degree); or
• equivalent foreign credential
Applicants with a foreign education must provide an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report ➨Appendix for their foreign education.
The ECA Report must not be more than 5 years old prior to the date the Express Entry profile is submitted.
5- Minimum Business Experience
In the last ten (10) years you must have:
• at least 3 years’ experience managing and owning a business (33.33% ownership minimum); OR
• more than 5 years’ experience in a senior business management role

Exploratory Visit
The exploratory visit is mandatory for persons purchasing an existing business. If you are starting a new business, the exploratory visit is not mandatory, but recommended.
