Federal Express Entry Draw 296 | 2985 invitations to Apply issued
A new Federal Express Entry Draw 296 held May 30,2024 and 2,985 Express Entry candidates who want to immigrate to Canada will receive invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
IRCC increased the CRS score compared to previous draw
Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 676. It is 100 points less than as compared to previous Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program draw.
2024 Total ITAs issued
Draw 296 brings the total number of ITAs issued so far of this year to 38,955.
Tie-breaking rule
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break on January 19, 2024 at 18:32:21 UTC for Federal Express Entry Draw 296. This means that all candidates with a CRS score above 676, as well as those with scores of 676 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before this date and time, received an ITA.

Candidates who want to immigrate to Canada can increase their current scores in pool by Study in Canada, Job offer and Canadian Experience Work or by receiving nomination from one of the Provincial Nomination Program.

Applicants must pay attention to the period between draws, If the period between them is extended, the express entry allows more applicants opened their profile with higher score in Express Entry System and this can have the effect of raising the minimum or cut-off score.
